Charms
DevCharms takes its name from an old image: a bracelet of small charms, each one marking something you care about. On this site, tags are starting to work the same way—each topic can earn its own charm: a tiny, recognizable emblem you collect as you read.
What we are building
The idea is simple to say and fun to iterate on:
- One charm per tag (or per story theme), so scanning tags feels like scanning a curated set of tokens—not a flat list of strings.
- Charms are imagined as small 3D objects—like metal or glass blocks on a bracelet—so they read clearly at icon size and still feel like things, not just flat glyphs.
- Some may use two-letter marks (like PY), others a stylized motif inspired by a language or tool—whatever reads fastest and stays original to this site.
Nothing here is final. This page is a living stub: as charms are designed and wired into tag pages and cards, this section will collect notes, previews, and the story behind the set.
For later
- Renders or stills of the 3D charms as they exist.
- How tag pages and post cards pick up each charm.
- Credits or tools used in the pipeline (when that is settled).
If you are reading this early: you caught the project mid-bracelet. More links and art will land here over time.
